Executive Assistant to Founder
Job description
We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to work directly alongside the founder of a fast-growing business.
This is much more than a traditional admin role. We are looking for someone who will become a genuine right-hand person to the founder, bringing organisation, structure and proactivity to his day-to-day working life.
You will take ownership of the things that don't need the founder's direct involvement, make sure important tasks and communications don't get missed, and help create the space for him to focus on growing the business.
Your responsibilities will include
Managing and protecting the founder's diary and time
Managing and prioritising emails and communications
Supporting payment and financial administration
Acting as a key liaison between the founder and the wider team
Booking travel and accommodation and preparing itineraries
Preparing for meetings and events
Tracking deadlines and following up with the relevant people
Managing smaller projects from start to finish
Preparing presentations and briefing materials
Handling confidential business, personal and financial information
Identifying what needs attention and taking action without waiting to be asked
We are looking for someone with previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Senior Administrator or similar role.
You will be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
Most importantly, you will be proactive. We don't want someone who needs to be given a task list every morning. We want someone who thinks ahead, spots what needs doing and takes ownership of making it happen.
Success in this role means the founder has more time to focus on high-value decisions, communications are dealt with quickly, deadlines aren't missed and the day-to-day running of the business feels organised rather than reactive.
This is a primarily office-based role, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. There may be the opportunity to work from home one day per week once established in the role.
Salary: £36,000 per year, with the opportunity to earn performance-related bonuses.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to become an important part of an ambitious and rapidly growing business, working closely with the founder and wider team as the company continues to develop.
Pay: £36,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
